Chocolate Whiskey Cake

Ingredients

1/2 C UNSALTED BUTTER

1/2 C COCOA POWDER

1 C STRONG COFFEE

1/3 C FIRST LIGHT ORIGINAL COFFEE WHISKEY

2/3 C SUGAR

2/3 C BROWN SUGAR

2 EGGS

1 1/2 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT

1 1/3 C FLOUR

1 TSP BAKING SODA

1/2 TSP SALT

2/3 C CHOCOLATE CHIPS

POWDERED SUGAR FOR DUSTING

In a medium saucepan on medium low heat mix the butter, cocoa, coffee, and Original Coffee Whiskey until the butter melts. Whisk in sugar and brown sugar until dissolved, about 2 more minutes, then remove from heat and allow mixture to cool completely. Preheat oven to 325ºF and generously butter a round cake pan. Whisk eggs and vanilla into batter, then fold in flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips. Pour into prepared pan and bake about 45 minutes. Lightly dust the finished cake with powdered sugar.
